Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our team to provide installations support for our program. Your contributions will play a vital role in ensuring the successful accomplishment of the program's mission requirements. This position requires you to work on-site at the government facilities, working closely with colleagues and collaborating effectively with the client as needed.


Location: This position is located on-site at the Governments Client's site at Old Town Campus, San Diego, CA.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of experience supporting the installation of hardware and software products

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to self-start and multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Extensive reporting experience using spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint Acumen.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work under moderate supervision.


Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Review technical documentation, installation plans, installation intentions, and provide progress status reports on significant technical, programmatic issues, and concerns related to the installation of all PAE MS Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) products and platform availabilities.

  • Prepare installation documentation based on a review of installation documentation and databases. Examples of installation documentation include status reports, evaluation reports, and assessments of program and project resource requirements.

  • Prepare assigned briefs, white papers, presentations and training to illustrate installation processes and initiatives.

  • Prepare installation assessment reports and financial analyses to assist APM-Is to prepare and maintain the financial health of installation efforts. Specific assessment reports and executive summary reports regarding afloat, shore, and Design Support Allocation (DSA) plans involve reviewing installation documentation and databases and generating action items to document issues and discrepancies.

  • Review technical documentation and interface between the PMWs, the PAE MS, and other external Commands.

  • Maintain inputs within the designated installation database or individual tracking system and enter all installation documentation, installation plans, and installation intentions into the installation file repository, designated installation database, or individual tracking system.

  • Update the databases, tracking systems, and files within one business day of information receipt.

  • Notify stakeholders when required documentation is not received on time for the designated system installations. provide a monthly report to the Government detailing all response due dates and the date of received responses.

  • Support installation work plans and changes provided by the PMW or the PAE MS.

  • Update installation files within one business day of receiving new installation information from a government organization.

  • Coordinate with the Ship Change Document (SCD) Initiators and SCD Submitters, PAE MS design team, and other stakeholders to track the development and approval of SCDs, Justification/Cost Forms (JCFs), Ship Alteration Records (SARs), Installation Requirements Drawings (IRDs), Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs), Equipment Delivery Date(s) (EDDs), and other installation documentation. 

  • Track environmental qualification and certification requirements necessary to complete Phase III SCD submission. 

  • Maintain product installation costs, approval spreadsheets and keep databases up to date.

  • Assist the APM-I to track installation-estimated costs and the development and approval of Shore-related products. Examples of shore-related products include Standard Plans, Test Plans, Installation System Operational and Verification Test (SOVT) Reports, Basic Electronic System Engineering Plans (BESEPs), Fleet Readiness Certification Board (FRCB) inputs, Risk Mitigation Plans, Installation Design Plans (IDPs), and Site Survey Reports. Keep PMW shore installation cost and approval spreadsheets and databases up to date.

  • Ensure the installation file repository, designated installation database, or individual tracking system is current, accurate, and complete. 

  • Maintain a log of all installation changes, approvals, and documentation received and entered, for each installation file. 

  • Notify appropriate personnel when installation documentation is incomplete, missing, or late on the same day discrepancy is identified.

  • Coordinate Ship checks/Site Surveys and equipment installation dates. 

  • Maintain the installation file repository, designated installation database, or individual tracking system and program/project milestone schedule making modifications/updates within one working day of new information receipt. 

  • Track all installation completion documentation such as SOVT Reports, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation, and initial training and Installation (Alteration) Completion Reports in accordance with current policies and associated processes. Include installation completion documentation within the installation file, designated installation database, or individual tracking system.

  • Track installation-related information to assist in addressing questions concerning system installations for the PMW. 

  • Research, analyze, locate, and include any information in the installation file repository, designated installation database, or individual tracking system.

  • Provide technical representation at Installation Planning Working Groups, Production meeting, and other installation-related meetings. The Contractor shall provide all documentation required to support the PMW’s position at these meetings and conferences. 

  • Provide Capability Based In-Service Engineering Agent (CB-ISEA) installation support. Examples of support functions involve drafting status reports, coordinating and overseeing tests and installations, and preparing for and delivering technical briefings.

  • Support installation management processes. Examples of support functions include preparing deliverable records in the designated advance planning system, assigning site types of installations, and assigning accurate configurations to site types.

  • Coordinate with the PAE MS FO, Platform Advance Planners (APs), SCD Initiators, and SCD Submitters prior to the modification of fielding plans that address external mandates (i.e., software operating system supportability and interoperability, national security, budget marks and other critical requirements that affect fielding strategies).

  • Prepare, update, and maintain the Class Spend Plans. The purpose of this document is to develop and optimize fielding plans for the Government. 

  • Develop, update, and maintain Synchronized Fielding Plans (SFPs).

  • Accurately capture SFP elements in the overall fielding strategy within the designated advance planning system.

The anticipated salary range for this position falls between $76,000.00 and $86,000.00 annually (USD).
