Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our team to provide database management support for our program. Your contributions will play a vital role in ensuring the successful accomplishment of the program's mission requirements. This position requires you to work on-site at the government facilities, working closely with colleagues and collaborating effectively with the client as needed.
Location: This position is located on-site at the Governments Client's site at Old Town Campus, San Diego, CA.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree with 0-3 years of experience supporting the administration, testing and implementation of computer databases.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to self-start and multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Extensive reporting experience using spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint Acumen.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under moderate supervision.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Coordinate with the PAE MS FO, Product APM-I, SCD Initiators, and SCD Submitters prior to the modification of fielding plans that address external mandates (i.e., software operating system supportability and interoperability, national security, budget marks, and other critical requirements that affect fielding strategies).
Support process improvements for fielded platforms by coordinating and facilitating process improvement plans, utilizing best practices and tools associated with process improvements to conduct planning, and providing comments, questions, and recommendations to improve advance planning processes.
Provide comments, questions, and recommendations regarding PAE MS capability upgrade strategies.
Update and maintain ACFPs for assigned programs and projects by coordinating with SCD Submitters to obtain status on SCD SHIPALTs, Engineering Changes (ECs), NPCs, and providing timely notification of any changes to ACFPs and Fielding Plans.
Provide update and maintain SFPs. Ensure SFP elements are accurately captured in the overall fielding strategy and within the designated advance planning system and fielding plan. Prepare legacy retirement charts for PAE MS systems on the SFP.
Collect program fielding and cost data.
Prepare, track, update, and maintain post-SFP deliverables.
Facilitate scheduling of system-of-systems capabilities.
Support the Government to provide responses to budget drills associated with operational capability builds.
Provide support for PAE MS road mapping and baselining strategies. Examples of support functions include implementing the PAE MS Roadmap, the PAE MS Objective Baseline, and targeted platform baselines to prepare ACFPs for fielded platforms.
Provide comments, questions, and recommendations to address capability shortfalls for fielded platforms
Perform integration, capability, and gap analyses for platforms.
Provide support for product and platform POM activities. Providing comments, questions, and recommendations for product procurement, product and platform installation for long range planning, and end-game offset production assessment activities.
Prepare, update, maintain, and track platform and operational capability builds and packages.
Prepare and maintain Information Warfare Platform (IWP) Capability Baselines (CBs) for surface platforms. Examples of support functions include participation in BLM and Configuration Management (CM) activities for PMWs, NAVWAR PAE MS, Platform Readiness Reviews (PRRs), and Execution Readiness Reviews (ERRs).
Provide corrective input and feedback to help optimize SPIDER/RIPTIDE modules (i.e., Platform Configuration Control Board (PCCB), CM, and Document Management Module (DMM)).
Support the IWP Capability Baseline CM Governance Board and maintain IWP Capability Baselines for Selected Ships in accordance with PAE MS SFPs, which shall align with the tri-annual budget cycle releases (i.e., Financial Management and Budget (FMB), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and President's Budget (PB)). Perform IWP baseline wholeness analyses for PRRs and Carrier Strike Group/Amphibious Readiness Group (CSG/ARG) Wholeness Figure-of-Merit (FoM)
Prepare and manage the Government’s introduction of Modernization Elements Tracker (iMET)
Support IWP baseline accuracy through SPIDER /RIPTIDE database inputs for modernization planning, add missing Shipbuilding and Conversion, Navy (SCN) or pre-2000 records and manage removals via strikethrough records quarterly.
Provide BLM support for the Engineering PAE MS Technical Review Board (PTRB) Integration. Examples of support functions include attending routine PTRBs, assessing and reporting on new systems, system-to-system dependencies, and capability-build system integration requirements.
Support platform installation readiness and execution tracking activities.
Prepare and modify As-Installed and As-Planned Platform Baselines and modify Quarterly Work Packages (QWPs)
Gather As-Installed and As-Planned requirements for Maritime Operations Centers (MOCs), Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Stations (NCTAMS), and Naval Computer and Telecommunication Station (NCTS) to support the PCCB.
Collect data regarding design production efforts from stakeholders. Examples of stakeholders include Project Engineers, personnel from PAE MS, APMs, Installation Representatives (iReps), APs, and BLMs.
Coordinate with various representatives to assess risks. Examples of representatives include personnel aligned to logistics, engineering, and cyber disciplines.
Provide support to draft and publish Letter of Authorizations (LOAs)
Coordinate with sites that lack Platform Configuration Mangers (PCMs) and report on installation feasibility
Ensure the completion of installations as reflected in SPIDER/RIPTIDE.
Prepare and maintain Information Warfare Platform (IWP) Capability Baselines (CBs) for surface platforms.
