PMP Exam Update Coming Soon

The Project Management Institute (PMI) recently announced that the expected change date for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam is March 26, 2018 . The update is necessary due to the recent release of the 6th Edition of the PMBOK Guide®, which reflects significant changes and additions compared to the 5th Edition.

It is important to remember that while the PMP exam is not exclusively based on the content contained within the PMBOK Guide®, it is one of the primary references for the exam.

Some updates include a new chapter on the role of the project manager, the renaming of two knowledge areas and the inclusion four new sections within each of knowledge area pertaining to key concepts, best practices, tailoring considerations and suggestions for the adaptation of agile practices.

This announcement confirms for those yet to take the PMP Exam that there is still plenty of time to certify under the 5th Edition.

"PMI”, “PMP” and "PMBOK Guide" are registered marks of Project Management Institute, Inc.
