Senior Operations Support Program Manager

Required Education: Master’s Degree

  • Acceptable Substitutions:

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years of additional relevant work experience; or

  • Associate degree plus 8 years of additional relevant experience; or

  • 10 years of additional relevant work.

  • Meets the minimum labor category experience requirements and the functional descriptions for labor category as identified in Appendix A.

Job Duties:

  • Support the Program Manager (PM), Deputy PM, and Director of Operations (DirOps) by leading the coordination of Chief of staff tasks, All Hands, meetings, conferences, working groups, and special events.

  • Prepare, document, and maintain paper and electronic presentation files and program briefings.

  • Maintain strategic Program Office documents including Standard Operating Procedures, issue papers, program reviews, key events, and organizational charts.

  • Coordinate, track, and update taskers to completion by leading front office support personnel to include the preparation and development of graphics, briefings, and multimedia presentations in accordance with PEO C4I and PMW 760 formats while providing a positive and productive culture.

  • Support PMW 760 to reach PEO C4I goals and process improvement initiatives. Provide recommendations and initiatives for command improvements.

  • Serve as management support responsible for assisting the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager in developing, establishing, and implementing administrative, contractual, financial, and technical processes of a project/program.

Required Skills:

  • 7-10 years of specialized project management support experience with a Navy acquisition program or related C4I intensive DoD programs/projects.

  • Excellent communicative, oral, written, and critical thinking skills.

  • Experience in planning, organizing and leading tasks and projects for a Navy Program Office

  • Independently conduct organizational studies and design procedures

  • Prepares operations and procedures to assist the Government in operating more efficiently and effectively

  • Apply analytical techniques to evaluate program objectives

  • Analyze requirements, status, budgets, and schedules

  • Experience in applying data management, analysis, and visualization

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.

  • Works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties identified above independently.

  • May oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
