Position Summary
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our team to provide Cybersecurity support for our program. This position is located in San Diego, CA. Your contributions will play a vital role in ensuring the successful accomplishment of the program's mission requirements. This position requires you to work on-site at the government client site, working closely with colleagues and collaborating effectively with the client as needed.
Location: This position is located on-site at the Governments Client's site: 4301 Pacific Hwy, San Diego, CA.
Active Clearance Required:
An active TS/SCI clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Minimum Requirements:
Typical Education:
Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent.
10 years of professional experience with cybersecurity engineering
Additional Experience:
Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I (position-based) per DoD 8570.1
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Cybersecurity Engineers prepare, implement, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements. They may also perform the following duties:
Plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network.
Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure.
Respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports.
Oversees, evaluates, and supports the documentation, validation, and accreditation processes necessary to ensure new and existing information technology (IT) systems meet the organization’s information assurance (IA) and security requirements.
Ensures appropriate treatment of risk, compliance, and monitoring assurance from internal and external perspectives

The anticipated salary range for this position falls between $140,000.00 and $150,000.00 annually (USD).
